General FAQ

What is igatta?

A VS Code extension for developers and creative professionals who want full transparency and control over AI-assisted workflows. See exactly what context the AI receives, which model handles the task, and why.

How does igatta differ from Cursor, Windsurf, or Copilot?

Other tools are designed around automation and opacity. You send requests without knowing what context was included, which model was used, or why tasks fail. igatta shows exactly what your AI is doing, lets you control what it costs, and gives you choice over how it works.

How do I get started?

Install the igatta extension from the VS Code Marketplace. Connect your API keys from any provider — OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source, or local. igatta runs in VS Code, so there is no migration or learning curve.

Can I use any AI model?

Yes. igatta supports OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, open-source models, and local models. Bring your own API keys, pay providers directly, and switch models at any point in any workflow.

How does pricing work?

Core features are free. Bring your own API key and pay your provider directly with no markups or usage fees. Pro unlocks the full toolkit at $15/month.

Context Manager FAQ

What is the Context Manager?

A control system that lets you intelligently scope context to each task. Choose specific files and sections, set context depth, and match the size of the context window to the complexity of the request.

Why does context matter?

Most AI tools send too much context (wasting tokens and money) or too little (missing critical information). Precise context means better answers on the first try at lower cost.

How do I select context?

Choose files to include or exclude. Pin specific functions or code blocks. Control chat history. igatta also suggests relevant context based on your task.

Recursive Image Studio FAQ

What is recursive image generation?

Instead of one prompt, one result, you generate a grid of variations, select the closest matches, and use them to seed the next round. You stay in the loop at each stage, guiding the output toward your vision.

How does selection improve results?

Selection is a creative act. Instead of re-rolling and hoping for luck, you pick directions and iterate deliberately. Each round builds on your choices.

What models are supported?

Any image generation model accessible via your API keys. Choose your model and parameters for each generation.

Workflow Graph FAQ

What is the Workflow Graph?

A visual builder for multi-step AI workflows. Connect nodes, configure parameters, run steps in sequence or parallel, and see execution in real time.

What are the workflow modes?

Automated (runs unattended), Semi-automated (approve at checkpoints), and Manual (step through each operation). Choose the level of control that fits your task.

Can I save and reuse workflows?

Yes. Workflows are saved to your library. Outputs persist and can feed into future runs, so each iteration builds on the last.
